Photo Shoot Prep List

To help us capture your home at its absolute best, please complete the following steps in addition to general cleaning prior to your appointment.

A little preparation goes a long way, these steps help ensure brighter, cleaner, and more market-ready photos.

Interior Preparation

Turn on all interior lights, including lamps, fireplaces, and under-cabinet lighting.
Replace any burned-out or missing light bulbs.
Turn off all ceiling fans.
Minimize clutter by clearing countertops, tables, nightstands, and desks (including small appliances, remotes, cords, etc.).
Remove small throw rugs, including entry rugs and bathroom mats.
Clear all bathroom surfaces, including sinks, countertops, showers, and tubs.
Remove personal items you do not want photographed (family photos, mail, valuables).
Please ensure all pets are secured (leash, kennel, or off-site) during the appointment.

Exterior Preparation

Remove all yard signs, including “For Sale,” security, and school signs.
Put away hoses, toys, bins, cleaning supplies, and other loose exterior items.
Arrange outdoor furniture as you would like it photographed.
- If applicable, open patio umbrellas.
Sweep patios, decks, and walkways; remove leaves and debris.
Shovel snow from driveways and pathways during winter months.
If applicable, clean the pool and remove any pool toys or accessories.

Helpful Notes

We recommend completing prep the night before or morning of your shoot.
The home should be photo-ready upon arrival so we can focus on capturing it at its best.
Your photographer will gladly answer quick questions on site, but staging and cleaning should be completed in advance.
