Terms of Service

These Terms of Service outline payment policies, scheduling and cancellation guidelines, travel fees, and image usage rights for services provided by Spark Media Chicago.
1. Payment
We want our clients to feel confident before paying. Our system allows you to view watermarked images prior to payment. Once the balance is settled, the watermark is automatically removed and final files are made available for download.
2. Rescheduling & Cancellation
We understand that schedules change. Cancellations or reschedules made with at least 24 hours’ notice are allowed at no cost.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are subject to a $100 cancellation fee.
3. Travel Fees
Travel fees are calculated automatically based on the distance from the assigned photographer’s home base. If a photographer does not have a designated home base, distance will be calculated from our office location at 960 E Morris Dr, Palatine, IL 60074.
Up to 40 miles: No travel fee
Beyond 40 miles (up to 100 miles): $0.75 per mile
Locations beyond 100 miles: Must be discussed and agreed upon in advance
Applicable travel fees will be calculated during booking or confirmed prior to the appointment.
4. Copyright Notice
Spark Media Chicago LLC retains the copyright to all images and media produced unless otherwise agreed to in writing. Copyright ownership is not transferred with purchase.
5. Photo Rights & Usage
The agent or individual who purchased the service is granted a license to use the images for marketing and advertising the specific property photographed, in both digital and printed formats.
This license:
Is valid only while the property is actively listed for sale
Does not transfer to another agent if the listing expires or is withdrawn
Allows reuse if the property is temporarily removed and relisted by the same agent
Does not allow resale or transfer of images to another agent without written permission
